NMBI: Registration process for nurse

1. Download the Overseas Registration Application Request Form from NMBI.ie and return to the NMBI along with the €350 assessment fee

2. The NMBI will process your Registration Application Form and send you a full application pack

3. Return the completed application pack along with all supporting documentation

4. The NMBI will assess your application and issue a decision letter

5. If you are eligible to join the Register, you will need to pay a registration fee

6. Once you pay your fee, the NMBI will finalise your registration and issue your registration pack within 7-10 working days.

Documents needed:

  • Nursing degree

  • Passport

  • Proof of previous experience if applicable

  • Garda vetting form completed

  • Proof of address

  • Copy of English exam results if applicable

IMC: Registration process for doctor

A doctor wishing to practice medicine in the Republic of Ireland must register with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).

You cannot work within the state while unregistered, with the exception of administering first aid or visiting European Economic Area (EEA), registered doctors attending in an emergency. Every doctor is responsible for ensuring that their registration is current and appropriate for their individual circumstances.

 

The IMC consists of 4 divisions:

  • Trainee specialist division

  • Specialist division

  • General division

  • Visiting EEA Division

 

Documents needed

  • Medical degree

  • Passport

  • Proof of previous experience

  • Completed garda vetting form

  • Proof of address

  • Specialist training completed if applicable

  • Copy of English exam results

PSI: Registration process for pharmacist

You will need to provide copies of the following documents with your application:

  • Birth certificate

  • Passport or ID card

  • B.Sc Pharm certificate or B.Pharm certificate

  • PRE results/letter from the college

  • Where relevant, a copy of a language certificate is to be submitted

  • Photograph form

  • Health declaration form

  • Statutory declaration form

  • Fee payment form
